As we reflect on the year in passing we come to view 2016/17 as a year of preparation.
New, national level Clinical PRocedures and Guidelines were launched in June 2017. With paramedic practice continually evolving, this new edition keeps our people up to speed with the latest in clinical techniques and patient care. We have been busy too planning for the arrival of electronic patient reporting, an exciting shift from paper based records to one where key information is stored online. This is great for psatients as it signals better information sharing between health services and over time will mean one record, one story, and joined up care plans.
This year has also seen our 111 Communications Centre prepare for ACE Accrediation (Accredited Centre of Excellence). I am pleased to report that accrediation was granted, putting our Communication Centre performance in the top 4% of all Call Centres Worldwide.
As we aspire to be the 'best little ambulance service' in the world, I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to you for all that you do to support us. You are the ones generously keeping us free and thriving here for on community.
