Regular monthly donations

Making a regular monthly gift is extraordinary as it lets us plan ahead and care for the thousands of people from Greater Wellington and the Wairarapa who need our help each year.

By funding the ordinary things we need to run our service, you’ll become part of an extraordinary group of people. Last year our regular givers raised over $100,000, which is enough to pay for all of the oxygen supplies our ambulances need for a year.

If you want to be part of the group of supporters who collectively make one of the most significant contributions to our organisation, you can sign up to regular giving by credit card here or email us at [email protected]

Leave a gift in your Will

In 1927 Sir Charles Norwood left us all with a lasting legacy to cherish. 95 years later, we are still proudly here for you, and are uniquely the only free ambulance service in New Zealand. Thanks Sir Charles!

Leaving a gift in your Will has a profound effect on our ability to be here for everyone who needs us.

Like Bevan ‘Spike’ Jones, who chose to leave money in his Will to Wellington Free Ambulance, and has helped to buy ambulances for his community.  See Bevan’s story here.

No matter what the size of your gift is, supporting us in this way is amazing, and helps us to plan for the future.

If you have questions about leaving a gift in your Will and would like to chat to someone, please contact Amber Proudfoot - Gifts in Wills Manager on 04 4989604 or email [email protected]

Fundraise for us

You are some of the most energetic, creative people we know, and we love to hear about your fundraising efforts.

Paramedic and boy smiling at camera

There are some amazing people in our community who fundraise for us, like 14 year old Adam Bird. Adam puts aside 20% of his pocket money for Wellington Free Ambulance. In four years he donated $760.  Nice one Adam!

Whether it's selling lemonade at the front gate, or running your first marathon, or taking on a collection spot on Onesie Day, we’re here to help you achieve your fundraising goals.

Caring for our community is a team effort, and a good team helps each other. When our paramedics need back up, they call our highly trained call centre. When you’re fundraising, you can call us. We can help you with resources, promotion, and advice. Email [email protected]

Join our business community

We work with a number of businesses each year who help us to do what we do. It’s a great way to engage your staff, raise money for a great cause, and be involved in your community.

We work with our businesses to create a bespoke partnership that really ticks all the boxes. We want you and your staff to feel part of the Wellington Free Ambulance team, and to understand the impact your support is having.

You can find out more about our current supporters here.

If you want to make a difference, contact Claire Carruthers, General Manager Fundraising and Communications, on 04 498 9679 or  email [email protected].

Memorium Giving

Many people like to give in memory of a loved one. We understand how much this means, and the importance of these gifts to you and your loved ones.

It is heart-warming that so many people think of us at such a difficult time. If you would like to give a gift in this way, you can do it online here ; alternatively please contact Amber Proudfoot - Gifts in Wills Manager on 04 498 9604 or email [email protected]

Claim your donation tax credit

Your donation helps Wellington Free Ambulance continue to be there for our communities when they need us.

If you donate more than $5, you may be eligible to claim a 33.3% tax rebate for charitable donations. To claim your rebate (tax credit) you need to complete a Tax credit claim form IR526 for the appropriate tax year, and send this to Inland Revenue along with the receipts relating to the donations you made during the tax year.

We will provide all donors with a summary tax receipt at the end of each tax year (that includes all donations you’ve made to Wellington Free Ambulance during the previous tax year), so you can claim your rebate as soon as you get your receipt.

More information is available on the Inland Revenue website.

If you have any queries about your donation, please call us on 0508 932 3733 or email [email protected].

Already received your tax rebate? Donate it back to Wellington Free Ambulance and continue to play an important role in the life saving care we provide when the worst happens.

Thank you
