Wellington to return to Alert Level 1

As of 11:59pm on Tuesday 29 June 2021, Wellington will move back to Alert Level 1.

There are no positive community cases in Wellington.

At Alert Level 1, we all need to be ready should there be more COVID-19 cases in our community.

If you feel unwell seek medical care early, don’t leave it until you feel really sick. GPs are offering consultations over the phone and pharmacies are still open. If you experience flu like symptoms it’s important to get these assessed, even if you haven’t had any contact with other sick people.

Remember Healthline’s dedicated COVID-19 number (0800 358 5453) is still operating and is free 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you think it’s an emergency and you need our help, don’t be worried about calling 111. We’ll work with you to ensure the best care, in the best way, and will take every precaution to ensure you stay safe from viruses such as COVID-19.

To find out more about the different COVID-19 Alert Levels, go to the Unite Against Covid-19 website.

We also encourage you to download and use the Government tracing app. Using the app will help our health services reach people quickly to stop any possible spread of COVID-19.

Remember we will continue to be here for you when you need us most and will do everything we can to support you. Care and compassion are fundamental to how we work, and this will always continue.
