Working alongside Wings Over Wairarapa

Wellington Free Ambulance is excited to once again be supporting Wings Over Wairarapa with medical coverage to ensure our community stays safe at this terrific event.

Wellington Free Ambulance has provided medical coverage at Wings Over Wairarapa since 2013.

Wellington Free Ambulance Events Manager Christine says being part of Wings Over Wairarapa is a great opportunity for our crews to utilise their skills and connect with our incredibly supportive Wairarapa community.

“Event Medics are at the heart of what we do, looking after our community is a team effort and everyone has their part to play. Our Event Medics are looking forward to being part of the team at Wings Over Wairarapa,” Christine says.

Wings Over Wairarapa is one of the biggest events of the year for Wairarapa, with it attracting thousands of visitors from across the country.

“Regarded as one of the best air shows in the country, the 2021 show – on from 26-28 February – is going to be sensational,” says Claire from Destination Wairarapa.

“The beautiful Wairarapa provides a stunning backdrop to an extravaganza of aerial action at Wings Over Wairarapa. You’ll see over 70 aircraft including vintage, military, jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays; there will be fun activities for kids and so much more! Don’t miss out, purchase your tickets today,” Claire says.

As the event happens once every two years, this is the 11th show in 22 years and Claire says it gets better every festival.

“To be able to share in this with Wellington Free Ambulance, a partner of the show for such a long time, is great. They do a brilliant job at looking after the crowds and they feel like part of the wider Wings Over Wairarapa team.”
