In an emergency dial

Ways to support us

There are lots of ways to help, and we love your support. Every dollar makes a difference!

Regular monthly donations

Making a regular monthly gift is extraordinary as it lets us plan ahead and care for the thousands of people from Greater Wellington and the Wairarapa who need our help each year.

By funding the ordinary things we need to run our service, you’ll become part of an extraordinary group of people. Last year our regular givers raised over $100,000, which is enough to pay for all of the oxygen supplies our ambulances need for a year.

If you want to be part of the group of supporters who collectively make one of the most significant contributions to our organisation, you can sign up to regular giving by credit card here, or email us at

Leave a gift in your Will

In 1927 Sir Charles Norwood left us all with a lasting legacy to cherish. 90 years on we are proudly here for you, and uniquely the only free ambulance service in New Zealand. Thanks Sir Charles!

Leaving a gift in your Will has a profound effect on our ability to be here for everyone who needs us.

Like Bevan ‘Spike’ Jones, who chose to leave money in his Will to Wellington Free Ambulance, and has helped to buy ambulances for his community.  See Bevan’s story here.

No matter what the size of your gift is, supporting us in this way is amazing, and helps us to plan for the future.

Fundraise for us

You are some of the most energetic, creative people we know, and we love to hear about your fundraising efforts.

There are some amazing people in our community who fundraise for us, like 14 year old Adam Bird. Adam puts aside 20% of his pocket money for Wellington Free Ambulance, and in four years he has donated $760.  Nice one Adam!

Whether it is selling lemonade at the front gate, or running your first marathon, or taking on a collection spot on Onesie Day, we’re here to help you achieve your fundraising goals.

For fundraising inspiration, see our Fundraising Guide.

Join our business community

We work with a number of businesses each year who help us to do what we do. It’s a great way to engage your staff, raise money for a great cause, and be involved in your community.

We work with our businesses to create a bespoke partnership that really ticks all the boxes. We want you and your staff to feel part of the Wellington Free Ambulance team, and to understand the impact your support is having.

You can find out more about our current supporters here.
