Continuing to keep our staff, patients and community safe

Continuing to keep our staff, patients and community safe

As we start to ease into our temporary normal, it’s difficult to know where we as a country will be in the next few weeks. However, for our staff, being here for our patients and community whilst staying safe and protecting their families is most important.

Paramedic pulling a stretcher
As I try to understand how challenging this must be for you and your family, know we are doing what we can to ensure we can be there in the safest way for everyone who needs our help. The added concern and worry COVID-19 can cause will differ from person to person, but it’s encouraging to know we’re in this together.

Being here for you isn't always an ambulance response. Sometimes it's our clinical paramedic advisors calling you back and talking things through on the phone. Other times it might be a paramedic arriving in a car and treating you at home. Whichever our response is, rest assure we will be there for you with the the most appropriate care.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is supporting our staff. Letting your loves ones go to work to support our community, continuing to work in an essential service to support us and others or by supporting our teams from afar by staying home and staying well, means we are all doing this together. So thank you.

Stay safe. Keep informed. Act with kindness.
