Long Service and Staff Awards 2024

On Friday 28 March, we gathered for our annual Long Service and Staff Awards. This is a special time for our team, with the staff awards recognising those who live our values, and their significant commitment to our patients, communities, staff, and organisation. While the long service awards celebrate the ongoing dedication and commitment to Wellington Free Ambulance and our communities by long-serving employees. It's our pleasure to introduce you to this year's well-deserving winners.

Act with Kindness - Tor

“Tor, word for word, represents the meaning of this category. He’s worked at Wellington Free Ambulance for 44 years, and his positive and kind attitude has never wavered.

As a preceptor [a mentor / instructor / trainer for new paramedics] for over a decade, many of our paramedics can attribute their growth to Tor.

His compassion, dedication and gold-standard expertise embody the values of Wellington Free, making him an inspirational role model to all.”
