New lifting chairs benefit patients and paramedics
Thanks to the support of Hilda Curtis Charitable Trust and Irene Phyllis Munro Charitable Trust, we've recently introduced 3 essential lifting chairs for our crew and community.
They may not be as comfy as the lazy boys in the background – but these new Raizer lifting chairs are a hugely valuable piece of equipment for our ambulance crews and patients.
Designed to be assembled around a patient, as demonstrated by Paramedic Clare, they safely elevate someone from the ground to a seated position – a crucial manoeuvre for many people needing emergency clinical care from the Wellington Free Ambulance team and safer for both patients and paramedics.
A huge thanks to Hilda Curtis Charitable Trust (who donated $16,000) and Irene Phyllis Munro Charitable Trust (who donated $8,000) for 3 essential lifting chairs for our crews and community.
