The Wellington Indian Association's 95 years of support
For 95 years, the Wellington Indian Association has been supporting Wellington Free Ambulance - their first donation was made to us all the way back in November 1928 for £13 3s 6d!
Recently, our GM Fundraising and Communications Claire was invited to speak at the Wellington Indian Association’s Community Awards. It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the amazing community minded and volunteer work many of the members do to better support our communities.
Claire says, "it was a real privilege to share the important work of Wellington Free Ambulance and our fundraising goals with the Wellington Indian Association who have supported our work for more than 60 years! This must be one of our longest community philanthropic partnerships and to see our shared values being taught to future generations is exactly what drives better outcomes for everyone we serve."
Both organisations will soon be celebrating 100 years of service - WIA in 2025 and WFA in 2027 - and we look forward to another 100 years of partnership.
